A crazy day

By Matt - Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

My apologies for such a delay in the post today has been a rather crazy day and it all started off rather slowly. Work got busier and busier through the course of the day followed by a session at the gym with the personal trainer (I’m seeing the results and the money flowing out of my account – health is one of the things that are worth the cost). Finally I was supposed to head home but I got asked to do one thing by my sniffly fiancee.

This is where things got crazier, I witnessed a pedestrian get hit by a car. I was the one who called 911 and had to stay there in the cold (in my gym shorts). Thankfully the lady wasn’t hurt too badly; but she was hurt.

This definitely made me think about how a single instant can change your life. Spending money on your health all of a sudden became much more worth it for me, being able bodied enough to deal with the trials and tribulations of life is that much easier when you’re healthy. The other thing I thought was that I’m glad my dad instilled in me the ever vigilant watching of your surroundings while driving.
