Reminds me of my wife's situation, she is a teacher and she would opt to not get paid during the summer, which would make her paycheck the rest of the year larger. It forced her to budget to make sure she had enough money to get her thru the summer months. Personally, As a bad budgeter I would have opted to get paid all year long. Interesting post.
